There are many people who call themselves qualified to provide Clinical Hypnotherapy, but in truth, being qualified is a process that takes years not months to truly gain the indepth knowledge of clinical hypnosis. At Life Wealth Coaching, this is led by our founder, Jonathan Kattenberg, who is University trained and is pursuing his studies towards a Masters of Science, amongst others qualifications he holds within Financial Planning.
So what is Clinical Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. Therefore clinical hypnosis (or hypnotherapy) is the use of an altered state of consciousness, or trance, to achieve a therapeutic endpoint. This means that people are not treated with hypnosis but are treated under hypnosis.
Our minds, both conscious and unconscious, are amazing and to truly understanding how to train your mind can take a lifetime without the proper support. It is important to understand all hypnotic states are characterised by a tremendously pleasant state of relaxation, which individuals allow themselves to enter so that the desired, beneficial suggestions may be given directly to the part of the mind known as the subconscious.
It’s important to understand that there are many techniques within hypnotherapy that can be applied in various circumstances, dependent on the client needs. We work from an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques, that provide profound outcomes for our clients throughout the UK.
Under hypnosis, the conscious, rational part of the brain is temporarily bypassed, making the subconscious part, which influences mental and physical functions, receptive to therapy. During the trance state there is heightened concentration for the specific purpose of maximising potential, changing limiting beliefs, and behaviours, strengthening your immune system as well as gaining insight and wisdom.
It is perceived that we only utilise about 5% of our mind whilst in a conscious state (being awake). All our habits, traits, personality and behavioural patterns become hard-wired over time, which we then act on, on an unconscious level.
This unconscious activity is what can lead to situations or unwanted outcomes, where repeated undesired behaviour steers and overwhelms us. Many people now find clinical hypnotherapy useful to overcome challenges in their life, which is why it’s fast becoming widely accepted – not just as an alternative solution, but as the preferred choice of medicine.
How Life Wealth Coaching utilise hypnotherapy
Through a confidential discussion, we can establish what level of support you need to pursue your desired outcome and create a bespoke action plan to achieve this.
To help dispel the cost common initial thoughts about clinical hypnotherapy, all clients are always in full control and you are always conscious and able to get up and stop the sessions immediately, should you so desire. While you are always in control, you have to have the will and desire for the change you wish to achieve.
When you experience therapy under clinical hypnotherapy, you are encouraged to relax your mind which leads you to a trance state, which is a natural phenomenon. Clinical hypnosis practised by a trustworthy and professionally qualified therapist is completely safe. Going into a tranced state of mind will enable us to encourage your mind, to alter certain behavioural patterns, thought processes and any power of associations which may cause you discomfort.
Each person is unique and during any session, everything becomes bespoke to your individual needs.
